EAGLES GAMECarolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles can advance to 4-3 with a win. It’d be their first time above .500 since Week 3. Root for the Eagles Youth Fletcher Cox Jersey , you dummy.NFC EAST GAMESDallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins: This is a tough one. At first glance, it seems like rooting for Washington to lose is the best choice since they’re currently first in the NFC East at 3-2. They’d advance to 4-2 and 1-0 in the division with the win. But if Dallas wins, the Cowboys will be 4-3 and 2-0 in division games. Rooting for ties is silly because it’s unlikely and it’s better for one to be dealt a blow than both of them just feeling kinda indifferent. With that in mind, I think the answer here is to root against Dallas. Washington fans are more tolerable than Cowboys fans. You don’t want to see the Cowboys build on their momentum from last week’s win. Root for the Cowboys to lose.New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons: The garbage Giants get to follow up a Thursday Night Football game with a Monday Night Football appearance. That’s too much national TV for such a bad team. It’s better if New York wins at this point because all that will do is screw up their draft positioning and make it harder to get a quarterback. Root for the Falcons to lose. NFC GAMESMinnesota Vikings at New York Jets: Please pull off the upset here, Sam Darnold. Root for the J-E-T-S.New England Patriots at Chicago Bears: It’s better for the NFC team to lose. Root for the Bears to lose.Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs have that head-to-head tie-breaker over the Eagles. It becomes less valuable with Tampa Bay being bad. Root for the Browns.Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins: Root for the NFC team to lose. And for former Eagles legend Frank Gore.. Root for the Dolphins.Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers: C’mon Authentic Chris Long Jersey , Niners. Be the ones to tarnish the Rams’ perfect record. Root for the 49ers.DRAFT PICK WATCHNew Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens: Draft pick watch continues to not go well as the Ravens are now 4-2 through six games. Baltimore ranks fourth overall in DVOA. And now the Eagles find themselves rooting for the Ravens to win this week because that’s perferable to seeing the Saints win. Baltimore losing would be a consolation prize. Root for the Ravens.WHAT’S LEFTTennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers: I wish the Titans would look good so the Eagles’ loss to them doesn’t look so embarrassing. Root for the Titans.Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars: Do you want the Jaguars to bounce back and start smelling themselves a little too much before their London trip? Or do you want them to continue to look really bad? I’ll take the latter and hope their struggles carry over into Week 8. Root for the Texans.Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts: In a vacuum, I’d like to see Frank Reich win. But in reality I’d like to see the Colts end up with a worse record than the Giants. Get that high draft pick, Indy. Root for the Bills.Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs: The Bengals are still first in the AFC North thanks to their head-to-head win over Baltimore. It’s preferable for Cincy (or Pittsburgh) to stay at the top of the division so that it makes it harder for the Ravens to make the playoffs. Missing the postseason will make the Ravens’ pick owed to the Eagles more favorable for Philly. Root for the Bengals.
BYE WEEKSGreen Bay Packers: Up next is a road game against the Rams. Interesting.Oakland Raiders: Up next is a home game against Indy. Need the Raiders to keep losing and get that No. 1 pick.Pittsburgh Steelers: Up next is a home game against Cleveland. Will Le’Veon Bell eventually report? And will he be traded before the October 30 deadline?Seattle Seahawks: Up next is a road game against Detroit.Eagles stole the Patriots’ play where Tom Brady dropped the ball in order to beat the Falcons As you may have seen, the Philadelphia Eagles used a play from Super Bowl LII to beat the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday evening. But it’s technically not the one you think. Nelson Agholor throwing to Nick Foles was reminiscent of Trey Burton throwing to Nick Foles back in February, yes Authentic Nick Foles Jersey , but tonight’s play was not exactly the Philly Special.A key difference with this play is that the ball was snapped to Foles and NOT directly to Corey Clement, unlike last time. No, this wasn’t the Philly Special. It was the play the Patriots ran against the Eagles in the Super Bowl when Tom Brady was wide open and DROPPED THE BALL.Doug Pederson acknowledged as much during his post-game press conference.“It’s where we got it from,” he admitted. “We just put different people in the game.”And he talked about the thought process behind it.“Well, um Womens Brandon Brooks Jersey , it was a play that we had put in for this week. It was a play that was in our their down menu. We were on the correct hash mark. And it was the right time of the game.”The play call name? “Philly Philly, was the play.”Philly Philly is originally what Foles suggested to Pederson in the Super Bowl, but that’s not what he meant to say. Foles did mean to say Philly Special. Tonight’s play was truly meant to be Philly Philly this time around. Novelty value aside, this play call by Pederson was a huge turning point in the game. Lincoln Financial Field felt kind of lifeless as the offense was struggling to move the ball all night long. Thankfully for their sake, Big Balls Doug knew how to get the Eagles back on track. It’s fun that Womens Ronald Darby Jersey , on a night where the Eagles celebrated their Super Bowl win, Pederson was able to use a treasured memory from that game to help the team win THIS season. It’s even better that Pederson spent this offseason insisting the Eagles “retired” the Philly Special and wouldn’t use it again.Technically, he was right. The Eagles used a slightly different play. From the team they beat in the Super Bowl.
